Okay, enough about dancing and loneliness and the issues of trying to meet new people for now. Dejection or no, I'm going to Decibel Festival this weekend and having a good time! I'll be blogging about it for KEXP as well; there's no set plan for when I'll be making posts, but I'll try to file a post each day after the previous night's event. My own blogging here will probably be very limited due to time constraints. I may just try to post a photo or two each day, although generally I get very poor shots in the clubs due to the low light, so I'm not sure what I'll do about that. (That's a problem for the KEXP Blog posts as well, though I'm hoping we'll be using photos from a professional photographer with a real camera instead of my iPhone photos.)

This is a really crazy weekend for music, actually. If I weren't going to Decibel Festival, I could go to the 23rd annual Rockabilly Ball, sponsored by KEXP, which runs Thursday through Saturday. Friday night, Local Natives are playing at the Showbox at the Market; Primus are playing at the WaMu Theater (which apparently hasn't been renamed even though WaMu no longer exists); and Hole bassist Melissa Auf der Maur is at the High Dive, that might be a really interesting show. Saturday night, The XX are at the Paramount with Warpaint and Zola Jesus; I'd love to be at that show and am a little sad I'm going to miss it.

And next Monday had a real tough choice for me: Neon Indian are at the Showbox at the Market, and I've wanted to check them out again since seeing them at Sasquatch; Freezepop are at El Corazón with Ming & Ping, and (the) Fading Collection are on the bill as well; and School of Seven Bells are at Neumos. I knew about School of Seven Bell's show first, and have really been looking forward to them, but what really made me decide in their favor was realizing that the next day, I could drive down to Portland and see Freezepop when they play at the Fez Ballroom. I'm a little worried about being worn out by Tuesday and facing the prospect of driving there and back, but I'm hoping I can make it.
