Six months ago today, which was also a Sunday, this happened.

(Don't be alarmed! It is a six-month old photo.)
It's a good reminder that, although I do have some real troubles to deal with at the moment, I'm very lucky to be alive and in fairly good shape. I celebrated the fact by going out dancing for most of the night last night (perhaps longer than I should have as my knees really started to bother me, but at a certain point it was too late to catch the late bus home, anyhow).
I don't have a good recent photo of myself to post in contrast, so instead, and in honor of my ninth anniversary of moving to Seattle which I forgot to acknowledge last month, here's an auspicious photo I took last Wednesday, from one of my favorite parts of Seattle, of a rainbow touching down on another one of my favorite parts of Seattle.
